The hot spring itself was beautiful and the ryokan was clean, neat, tidy, and serene. Extremely relaxing, close to EVERYTHING. Here's my how to use the onsen: 1. Go to the basement level floor. Women on the right, men on the left. Men get in via tapping their room card, women get in via a code that is provided on check in. 2. Choose a locker and strip! Yep strip down completely. Everyone's naked, no one cares, just keep minding your own business. Leave even the big towel in your locker, only take the small one. 3. Enter the onsen (sliding door) and head to the showers off to the side first. Sit on the little stool and take a legit shower - clean everything, everywhere, hair, butt, pits, you name it. Be clean as possible! They provide literally all the amenities like shampoo and body soap. Tie your hair up after, no hair in the onsen. 4. Step into the onsen with your towel either on your head or on the bench. Go slow! Its HOT. Then just.. soak. Soak and relax. 5. Step out, catch the heavy dripping with your little towel, then go back into the locker room to dry off proper and change. There's a bunch of amenities to use. The two big tubs off to the side are the same water and heat - its just for if you want a solo tub experience, and then there's a sauna that i didn't go into, but I suspect it works as any sauna does. Overall, exceptional, relaxing, and would do it again.

Lobby or reception in Onyado Nono Asakusa Natural Hot Spring

Honestly, the property exceeded all of my expectation and it was an excellent value for money when staying in Tokyo central area. Area-wise, it is just 2min away from the senso ji temple, which makes it extremely simple visiting it early in the morning or late at night, when it's the most pleasant time with barely any folks around. On top of that, it's got lots of famous food place, Uniqlo, Gu, Donki, so shopping was super easy. Not only that, there is a direct metro to Akihabara so this place was perfect when visiting these areas plus Ueno. The only problem is that you don't have a direct access to Yamanote Line, which is really the only unfortunate thing. I stayed in two areas in Tokyo and found this to be a LOT nicer, while the other had better connections when exploring Tokyo. So I recommend to stay here at the end of your trip to relax, buy souvenirs and visit the areas around. I even went cycling with Luup twice during the night and it was very pleasant, nobody around and the small-cute streets are very lovely to cycle through! The facilities surprised me the most. Starting with the whole hotel, which has tatami flooring all throughout the place, meaning you can walk with slippers or socks. Then the room was just perfect size (I was alone and rented the smallest option, which was really well sized) and really cosy. There is always refreshments like green tea, coffee, then there is a small portion of ramen after 9.30pm every evening, ice-cream after the onsen, suggestions for places to eat on the TV, free washing machine.... And the cream on top is very clean onsen, sauna, hot and cold baths, truly a unique experience that helped to relax after a long trip, I would spend maybe 1h+ every day in the onsen :D Once I get back to Tokyo again, I am going to stay here at the end of the trip to just have a very relaxing time :)

Spa and wellness centre/facilities in Onyado Nono Asakusa Natural Hot Spring

Fantastic location. As my first time and first stay in Tokyo, I was very happy I had chosen Onyado Nono in Asakusa. The location was an easy walk from the station, passing the Sensoji-temple. My plane arrived in the evening, but despite it being dark out the area felt comfortable and safe (well-lit) to walk along as a solo female and I enjoyed the local area a lot. The Hotel felt very peaceful upon arriving and just as the review that led me to stay in the first place, I would like to reiterate that it has a very homely feeling when you walk into the door, take off and store your shoes (in small lockers) and walk to reception. The japanese style accommodation was simple, clean and very cosy and the staff was extremely helpful. Based on the location and atmosphere within the hotel, I will be staying again and hopefully get to try out the spa next time too.

Beautiful hotel located a minute away from the temple grounds. Has a relaxing ryokan feel in the middle of busy Tokyo. Room was small by North American standards, but clean and well maintained. Bed and pillow are firm, but I personally prefer it that way, so I was even more comfortable than at my own home. Toiletries such as toothpaste, razor and toothbrush were included. Pyjamas were also available. There was free delicious soba noodles every night, along with tea, coffee, and ice cream. Yakult was free in the morning. The mineral bath was nice and hot, and made your skin super soft. It was open long hours, from 5 am to 1 am. Washers are free to use, and dryers cost 100 yen for 20 minutes. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and well worth the money. It's too bad I had to move to the next hotel.

The room was roomy for a Tokyo hotel room and well equipped. It was nice to walk barefoot/with socks in the hotel. Great breakfast and onsen, good wifi. Lication quiet while in the middle of everything. All in all, would come again.

Property building in Onyado Nono Asakusa Natural Hot Spring

This is the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Everything was simply perfect; every single detail catered for. Asakusa is the most peaceful and magical suburb of Tokyo. I was so happy with my choice. Useful tip: The onsen has signs saying that tattoos are not allowed, but the reception has adhesive patches that you can use to cover your tattoos and use the onsen in perfect peace. The patches come in varying sizes — including really big ones, although they are all pale-toned — and they stay on the skin for up to five days, so you only need to apply once.

Everything, from the onsen to great attention to details and amenities. The breakfast is fantastic if you want to try a Japanese one and late at night they offer you some ramen. So far the best stay in Japan

This entire experience was top notch. The next time I'm in Japan I'll be checking this hotel for availability. My room was often cleaned in the time that it took me to go out for breakfast, the key card system worked incredibly well, the staff spoke great English and were super friendly and helpful. The laundry facilities were clean and worked well. The tatami mat floors were incredibly comfortable and the free late night noodles really added to the whole experience. The location of this hotel is perfect if you're in Japan to experience Tokyo. You're less than 5 minutes walking distance from something interesting in any direction, and you can get a train to just about anywhere in Tokyo in under an hour. Despite the hotel being packed, I can't recall hearing any of the other guests from my room.
